Vintage Marlin model 39, Second Series (1925-1932): Serial number has an "S" prefix. "Corporation" barrel address, star on upper tang. 'Takedown' lever action rimfire rifle features 24" octagon barrel, full length magazine tube, front blade/bead sight, rear Marbles adjustable semi-buckhorn sight, Lyman code H adjuatable peep sight installed on tang, curved grip & lever, checkered plastic Marlin buttplate, "bullseye" inletted in the underside of shoulder stock, takedown screw on right side of receiver, sling swivels. Bore is very good/bright. Barrel & magazine tube retain about 80% blued finish with edge/handling wear and some scattered light pitting. Action is case colored, turned a gray/brown patina from handling, same for the trigger and lever. Stock is good/sound condition with minor scratches, dents, there is a small chip out of the heel and buttplate. Action operates smoothly. All markings are crisp/clear.
