'Sporter #1' High quality & faithful reproduction of the Sharps Rifle Company Model 1874 falling block single shot sporting rifle chambered in .40 2 1/2". Manufactured in Big Timber, MT.
Features a matte blued 30" half round half octagon barrel, dovetailed German blade front sight, buckhorn rear sight with flip-up ladder marked 2-8, fully-adjustable mid-range tang sight, case hardened receiver, double set triggers, knurled hammer spur, smooth semi-fancy American black walnut forend with satin finish & pewter tip, and pistol grip shoulder stock with right handed cheek piece, checkered hard rubber buttplate & 14 3/8” LOP. Includes a factory letter.
Rifle retains approximately 99%+ of its original finish showing minute handling marks with no major wear observed. The action is mechanically sound, the bore is pristine and the figured walnut stocks are near excellent with a small mar under the cheek piece.
