Titled "Shawl Dancer". Signed on base and numbered 2/20. Bronze measures 12 1/2" tall and is on a 2" tall, 7" wide wood base. Born in 1932 in Prescott, Arizona, Jack Osmer's first award in art was won when he was 10 years old. Osmer's inspiration comes from a variety of things: western artist Fred Harman, his love of western history, years in rodeo, and his interest in Arizona pioneers and Cherokee Indian heritage. Osmer became a master sculptor and art bronze castor. His foundry, House of Bronze Art, opened in the 1970's, where he cast bronzes by other artists as well as his own. The foundry closed in 1993.
