Blade is brass replacement & slightly distorted & loose in the slot. Walnut stock has the rifle length grasping grooves. Smooth trap buttplate. Walnut stock set w/ the humped handguard w/ serves as a sight protector when stock is inserted in saddle scabbard. Stock is marked only w/ very faint encircled "P" proof under grip & "16" rack number on top at heel. CONDITION: stock has a nicely done arsenal rework type finish w/ only slight loss of wood in inletted areas. Metal turning gray has traces of original blue w/ thinning. Lands have extensive wear, grooves have frosted appearance. (25-2729/RW). CURIO. $600-900.
