Cal. 22 S, L, LR. NSN. Bbl. 27 1/8". Model 68 single shot bolt action rifle mfg. by Winchester between 1934-1946. The left side of the bbl. is marked with Winchester's mfg. information, followed by the model and cal. designations, as well as the Winchester trademark logo. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bolt assembly (minus the cocking piece), which exhibits a nickel plated finish. Plain wood pistol grip buttstock, with grasping grooves, and Winchester checkered black synthetic buttplate. Ramped, hooded, and aluminum beaded blade front sight, with adj. aperture rear sight. CONDITION: metal components retain bountiful amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some scattered superficial handling marks and spots of light surface oxidation overall. Bolt is very good overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting well defined rifling throughout. Stock shows some scattered superficial marks from handling and storage, with some cracking present on either side of the butt. PROVENANCE: Estate of Russell Dickerman. (25-1782/MLW).
