PISTOL WITH RARE 6" BARREL. Cal. 41. S# 203. These large frame Smith & Wesson lever action pistols are seldom offered, only an estimated 500 were made 1854-1855 and few with shorter 6" barrel. This example is heavily restored and refinished, but barrel & frame have matching S# 203. Markings on barrel are re-engraved, still a rare configuration with 6" barrel. CONDITION: fair to good as restored, refinished, and recolored, grips refinished and fit well. Mechanics fine, pitted rifled bore. Accompanying modern display case is very good. (01-26758/JS).
