Large and unusual iron signal cannon or lyle cannon by Groenke & Son, Chehalis Washington. Heavy bore with a smooth sides and curiously no trunnion. Two recessed bands for strapping to a sleigh. Below a series of several lines of illegible inscription. Size 14 1/4" L x 4" W, 1 3/4" W barrel. Provenance: Ex-Antique Arms Collection, Arizona
