^Lot 17 Rare Spanish Military Palash Broad Sword, Early-18th c.

Early 18th C. rare broad sword with a Spanish military basket hilt. Curiously stamped with "R" and crown markings, stamped date 1687. Straight wide double-edged blade that gradually tappers to a point. Basket shaped bowl handle with three sweeping bars to a fitted pommel and leather grip. Hand peened. Size 36" L, blade 31" L.
