A superb original example of an early cased WWII German observer's badge in its early ribbed case. Marked "Beobachterabz". The badge depicts a darkened spread wing eagle grasping a party symbol, superimposed on a silver oak and laurel leaf wreath. The reverse shows two rivet construction with a narrow pin. The reverse of the eagle is marked "C.E.JUNCKER BERLIN SW". CONDITION: the badge is in suburb condition with only the very slightest wear and the box also shows very slight wear.
