FNAWS Conservation Stamp Collection ran from 1980-1983.
The first painting done in 1980 was by Wildlife Artist, Gary Swanson (bighorn), 1981 BobKuhn (Dall’s), 1982 Ken Carlson (Stone’s), 1983 Robert Bateman (desert).
stamp sets were commissioned by WSF (FNAWS) in the late 1980’s.
These fourremarkable artists, Swanson, Kuhn, Carlson and Bateman have mastered the FNAWS (Four North American Wild Sheep).
The depiction of the Four North AmericanWild Sheep was painted by Michael Schreck.
As a historical painter, he feels strongly about the importance of authenticity and will go to great extremes to achieve it.
