Cal. 22 S (22 Short). S# 25541. Bbl. 3 3/16" rnd. Round blade front sight. U-notch rear sight. Third issue No. 1 with last patent date of December 18th, 1860. Mfg. 1868-1881. Blued finish. Smooth rosewood grips. CONDITION: grips show scattered flaking varnish, dings, scratches & handling marks. Metal retains 30% original blue with overall fading to gray, some light pitting & scattered oxidation. Action functions properly when hand cycled. Bore has evident rifling but scattered pitting & oxidation. (01-25788/MJC). ANTIQUE. $500-750.
