TAFT. The letter itself measures approximately 9" x 7". The heading at the top, printed in black, reads "THE WHITE HOUSE WASHINGTON". The letter is dated June 24, 1912, and appears to thank a gentleman named F.W. Hartford of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, for his support. The letter is boldly signed "Wm H Taft". CONDITION: the letter is partially glued to a backing paper at the very top of the sheet. Paper is a bit discolored, but the signature remains bold. (02-21850-1/BF). $200-400.
