^Lot 1227 LATE WAR JAPANESE TYPE 99 ARISAKA BOLT ACTION

RIFLE. Cal. 7.7 Jap. S# 32093. Bbl. 25 1/2". Blade front sight without protective ears. Fixed aperture rear sight. All matching numbers, including firing pin. Late-war Nagoya Type 99 Arisaka rifle. Receiver top has ground mum. Left side of receiver has serial number, Nagoya, and 11th series marking. Blue finish. Asian hardwood stock set with short handguard, separate forend, two-piece butt, and left-side sling swivels. CONDITION: stock set has added varnish with large crack running from behind upper tang to above floorplate, scattered chips, dings, and handling marks. Metal is turning gray with strong amounts of original blue and some scattered oxidation. Safety does not appear to engage properly, but action otherwise appears to function properly. (24-5179/MJC).
