Manufactured in 1884, first year of production for the Colt Lightnings. Features a 26" octagon barrel with period correct rear semi-buckhorn notch sight and blade front. Correct barrel stampings with Colt address and Elliot's patent dates. Side loading gate with a 15 round full length magazine tube. Walnut straight grip stock with crescent metal butt plate. Black synthetic factory checkered forearm with Rampant Colt logo. LOP: 13-1/8". CALIBER: 44-40. S/N: 2285. FFL STATUS: Antique.
CONDITION
Finish has turned mostly to a gray patina. Does show some dings in the high edges of the barrel. All screws show light to moderate marring. Stock shows dings but still sturdy. Dark bore and great mechanics.
