Lot 94 Pair of Indian Flintlock Rifles
Interesting pair of Northwest Indian Trade guns with part octagon barrels and Flintlock ignition. Circa 1830-50. Traditional brass serpent decoration and blacksmith produced trigger guard. Period of use wood stocks are heavily weathered from exposure to the elements. Smoothbore for Buck & Ball and or solid projectiles. These are the earlier examples of the westward expansion period of trade guns. Not frequently found outside museum exhibition.
