11 PF Serial # 81 Serial number 81 Bbl, 5 1/2" Cal, 11MM Pin Fire. Circa 1865. Proofed in Belgium , 6 shot double / single action Lefaucheux pattern open top revolver with external extraction rod and checkered 2 piece walnut grips on bag grip with lanyard. Non-Fluted cylinder with tilting loading gate. Serial numbered under grip and proofed on cylinder. These large frame revolvers were imported into the United States during the later period of the Civil War as well as saw extensive use in the Franco Prussian War. Very fine with most all finish remaining. Bore and chambers are very fine. Action operates properly. Grips are excellent. Barrel 5 1/2" Serial Number 81 NO4473
