^Lot 1549 U.S. WW1 M1917 Bolo Knife

WW1 Era U.S. issued Springfield Armory Bolo Knife. Springfield Armory. Ricasso stamped "U.S." and serial number. Reverse stamped "S.A." with flaming bomb and "1917". (Serial number & last number of date are partially obscured by scattered pitting) Canvass and leather scabbard Stamped "Fred Medart MFG. CO", 1918". The insert is loose in the canvass scabbard. 0Scabbard marked "USMC":, & "Sgt. Kane" . Note* There was a Sergeant Tony W. Kane, USMC, that won the Navy Cross in France in WW1.
