^Lot 1063 Tokyo Arsenal Type 38 Carbine 6.5mm

SN: 206018. This is a sporterized Japanese type 38 Carbine. Correct 19.2" barrel, and carbine sights. Mismatched bolts handle has been turned down, Stock has been shortened, hand guard removed, buttplate removed, barrel & receiver has most of the blue finish, bottom metal is in the white from handling loss. Mum is all there with a couple of cuts in it. "Type 38" on chamber is intact. Bore is good/bright, with frosting in the grooves. Someone has lightly scratched on the left chamber "257 Jap Roberts" (6.5mm) With correct bolt & stock, would been a nice 38 Carbine NRA Condition-Fair/Sporterized, C&R Firearm.
