^Lot 537 Vintage Running Iron with Case

The Running Iron was used to modify brands on cattle or other animals to match a different brand or to hide a previous owner's mark. The hook shape could be used for a variety of shapes. The ventilated handle unscrews, and is attached in reverse to provide longer reach and less heat. The custom fitted leather case is marked "CHAS E COLLINS / GLOBE ARIZ", in overall good condition, with places where thongs can be used to attach to other gear. The Iron is overall very good condition.
