RIFLE SHEATH. 40" x 7" leather sleeve with 3" beaded panels around throat and tip. Whiteheart red, greasy yellow, white, dark blue, & sky blue on green beaded ground. Rawhide fringe. Mr. Mattox tag says circa 1880. CONDITION: good, loss of beads at bottom panel, soiled & stained, supple. PROVENANCE: From the Lifelong Collection of Glen E. Mattox. (02-18516/JS). $800-1,200.
