6" HOLSTER FOR DA REVOLVER. Designed and manufactured byt the West Texas Saddle CO, El Paso, TX, this circa 1900s high quality, beautifully carved wide skirt holster was designed for the new Colt 6" .38 caliber Army revolver which replaced the 7 1/2" Single Action .45 in U.S. service in the early 1890s. Referred to generally as the Mexican double loop, this style was very popular in the in the Southwest and this example is in beautiful, original condition. CONDITION: very fine w/ gray floral designs & stitching intact. Back of holster has flaking finish, however this a beautiful piece to own. (02-19820). $700-800.
