ENGRAVING AND DISPLAY BOX. Cal. 22 Short. S# 6830. Standard configuration with rosewood grips. Pistol has 80% coverage large open scroll in the style of and possibly engraved by L.D. Nimschke of New York who engraved over 5,000 guns for various makers from the 1850's to 1900. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: gun is housed in oak treasure chest type box lined in purple felt. Interior of lid is embossed with oval scroll device. CONDITION: fair to good. Metal heavily cleaned to silver over considerable pitting. Grips with oil refinish. Mechanically good, hinge loose.
