Overall length: 31". Blade length: 26 1/2". The plain blade has a single narrow fuller near the spine and a running fox stamped on one side of the blade. The sheet iron hilt swells at the blade and narrows toward the pommel. The simple pommel is pierced by the tang of the sword, which is peened over the end. Hardwood grip with 3 iron roundhead nails. No scabbard. CONDITION: blade has a medium to dark gray patina but no evidence of pitting. Hilt also has a dark patina. Grip shows dents & dings but has no major faults. (02-20084/BF). $1,200-1,600.
