CIVIL WAR SRC. CAL. 50. S# 10819. Mfg. 1861-65 with over 30,000 produced. 21 5/8" part oct. bbl with dovetailed german silver blade front sight (blade is reversed). Iron mountings. CONDITION: Overall good with blued components retaining traces of their original finish. Case hardened frame retains a good amount of the muted case colors with some spots of scattered light old surace oxidation. Original walnut stock set has nice deeply stuck cartouches with handling marks and evidence of the carbine leaning near a heat source darkening the top portion of the stock and a small amount to the forearm. There are a few scattered heavier gouges present. Very nice bright bore with good rifling. Crisp mechanics. (01-23191/ZAL) ANTIQUE $1200-1800
