^Lot 1495 WWII JAPANESE NAVAL PITH HELMET.

This rare helmet has a khaki cotton 6-piece sewn exterior with a cloth Naval anchor & cherry blossom on the front. The interior liner is dark green cotton with a khaki cloth chinstrap & suspension band. There are 2 sewn-in white cotton tags with Japanese characters. CONDITION: helmet shows light wear overall with no significant staining or damage. PROVENANCE: From the Lifelong Collection of Glen E. Mattox. (02-18437/BF). $400-700.
