^Lot 1164 DWM ARGENTINE 1891 MAUSER ENGINEERS CARBINE.

Cal. 7.65 Arg. S# C5265. Bbl. 17 3/4". Matching numbers on bolt, rear band, bbl & floorplate. Front band is numbered "256", stock number is faint & rear sight appears mismatched. Top of receiver marked w/ Argentine crest. Left side of receiver has DWM & Argentine markings. Ladder rear sight graduated to 1400m. Blade front sight w/ protective ears. Two bands w/ bayonet lug for Rolling Block bayonet. Walnut stock set w/ left side sling swivels. Saddle bar behind trigger guard has been filled in w/ arsenal added steel filler & two screws. Leather sling present. CONDTION: arsenal reworked stock set has a large armorer repair at bottom of butt, a tight crack behind upper tang, a crack at front of handguard, scattered dings & handling marks. Metal is a silvery gray patina w/ some spots of light pitting & oxidation. Worn bore w/ scattered frosting & pitting. (23-1932/MJC). CURIO. $400-700.
