'Medium Frame' Antique American made slide action repeating rifle, manufactured circa 1887. Features tapered 26" round barrel, dovetailed German silver blade front sight, elevation adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sporting sight, full length tube magazine, smooth trigger, knurled hammer spur, steel frame, two-piece checkered walnut slide handle and smooth straight grip shoulder stock with crescent metal buttplate. Rampant Colt on left side of receiver. Bore is fair condition, dark & pitted grooves with strong rifling. The original high polished blued finish is about 50% with the rest turned a mottled dark brown color, edge losses and some patina throughout. Wood is very good, sound. All Winchester markings are crisp/Clear. NRA Condition-Very Good as Antique Firearm.
