Lot 234 DWN P-08 Luger 9mm SN: 87061

Rare unit marked 1921 dated Weimar era German military toggle locked recoil operated semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9x19mm Luger. No import marks observed. Features blued finish 4" barrel, dovetailed inverted 'V' front sight with witness-marks, 'v' notched rear sight, smooth crescent trigger, knurled charging knobs on the rear toggle link, manual safety on the left side of the frame, knurled push button magazine release, steel frame with lanyard loop & stock lug, and two-piece finely checkered wood grips. All observed numbers match .Receiver proofs (1920-26) Unit marked on fore strap "S.A.F.5. 97" & "3.154" on frame above the lanyard loop. Bore is excellent/bright Retains 90% original finish, with edge/holster wear Grips are good, have been varnished. Toggle action is crisp/tight. Note* This pistol comes with a Third Reich era Eagle/swastika "C" (Police) magazine marked on the aluminum plug, Magazine marked "Haenel Schmeisser Patent". Condition is NRA Very Good. C&R Firearm.
