Cal. 44-40 (Marked 44 on front left side of frame). NSN. Bbl. 7 1/2" w/ blade front sight. Six shot fluted cyl. Ejector housing has distinctive web. Full nickel finish. Poorly fit replacement hard rubber grips. Head of grip screw is stripped & stuck in place. Estimated quantity of 25,000-30,000 mfg. 1875-1889. CONDITION: over 70% nickel showing scattered spots of loss, scratches & small dents. Replacement grip shows small handling marks. Action has light main spring tension.
