Cal. 44-40 (44 is marked on front left side of frame). S# 1251 (found on left inside of grip frame). Bbl. 7 1/2". Six shot fluted cylinder. Webbed ejector housing. Full nickel finish. Two piece walnut grips are number to the gun. Estimated quantity of 25,000 to 30,000 were mfg. 1875-1889. CONDITION: very fine retaining over 95% original nickel finish showing edge wear, small spots of freckling and cylinder dragline. Original grip finish shows light wear and small marks. Sound action. Bore shows light wear and pitting. (01-21729/DS). ANTIQUE. $3,000-$4,000.
