RIFLE. Cal. 38-55. S# 16651. Bbl. 28’’ octagon. Rocky mountain front sight w/ sporting rear sight. Full length mag. Double set triggers. Light frame action, forearm cap & buttplate are factory nickel plated. Walnut forearm & straight grip stock w/ crescent steel buttplate. Mfg. 1888. CONDITION: bbl. & mag. tube have a gray appearance from touch up finish. Action & fittings retain over 60% nickel. Sanded & refinished wood shows some handling marks. Forearm has cracks extending from right side of action. Lever hangs loose from frame. Functioning double set trigger. Bore is generally bright retaining sound rifling. (01-22663/DS).
