FACTORY ENGRAVED 3RD MODEL HIGH HAMMER DERRINGER. Cal. 41. S# 10726. Housed in red baize lined custom casing fitted for 5 cartridges. Derringer is in standard configuration of early 3rd variation as defined by Doug Eberhart in his most recent text on Colt Derringers. 2.5” barrel agent engraved on left side “WILLIAMS & POWELL, LIVERPOOL”, British proofed, half round front sight, large slanted “COLT”, factory engraved silver plated brass frame and blued barrel, and smooth ivory grips. CONDITION: very good overall, traces of original blue, about 50% silverplate, grips appear as old replacements poorly fit. Good action, pitted rifled bore. molded leather casing is sound with scuffing and soiling internally, key is functional. (01-23021/JS). $1,500-2,500.
