YOUNG, NEW YORK. Cal. 62. NSN. 13" overall. 8.5" round British proofed smooth bore barrel engraved on top “NEW YORK”. rebated tail lock engraved “H. YOUNG / & Co.” Young is well-known family of gun makers in several states. This Kentucky style pistol is walnut stocked with brass furniture, single screw lock, circa 1835, Ketland style simplistic engraving as seen on their trade guns. CONDITION: very good to fine overall, barrel and lock overall smooth grey iron patina, hand worn patina to stock. Good mechanics, clean smooth bore. (01-22822/JS). $2,000-3,000.
