^Lot 3334 CIVIL WAR 58 CALIBER CARTRIDGE BOX & SLING.

A standard Civil War issue cartridge box with an oval “US” brass plate on the front. The lower left corner is stamped “R. WHITE U.S. ORD. DEPT SUB INSPECTOR.” The inside flap is stamped “S.H. YOUNG & CO. NEWARK N.J.” No interior tins. Black finished brown leather sling with round eagle plate attached. CONDITION: box and strap generally show light wear. Closing tab is flexed but unbroken. Plates are undamaged. (02-18104/BF). $600-800.
