CARVED GRIPS. Cal. 36. S# 23095. Bbl. 7 1/2” octagon w/ blade sight. Six shot round cyl. Blue finish w/ brass trigger guard. 2 piece white grips. Right panel has deep relief eagle & shield carving. Total of approx. 28,000 mfg. 1863-1878. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: period style case. Red cloth fitted interior shows fading & wear. Ornate brass powder flask w/ viginettes of turkeys & a dog. Case also contains cap tin, case key & one wrapped six round package of combustible cartridges. CONDITION: very good. Metal finish is fading to a brown patina showing small spots of freckling & pitting. Grips show grain checks & wear having acquired a mottled yellow appearance. Sound mechanics.
