Cal. 52 RF. S# 15832. Bbl. 22" with blade front sight and folding leaf carbine rear sight. Breech block pivots to the left for loading. Case colored lock marked “JOSLYN FIRE ARMS CO/STONINGTON CONN/1864”. Band fastened walnut stock with iron carbine butt plate has saddle ring and bar on left side. Approximately 16,500 mfg. through early 1865. CONDITION: fine. Bbl. retains over 90% lightly faded blue. Breech block and lock show dark fading case colors. Stock shows wear with scattered scratches and dents. Bright bore retains strong rifling. (01-21965/DS). ANTIQUE. $2,000-3,000.
