16" Overall, 11" clip point with 4.5" clip, scroll etched blade: “WADE WINGFIELD / & ROWBOTHAM” marked lengthwise and ricasso: “NO. 82 / TENTER ST / SHEFFIELD”. Rosewood grip with German silver crossguard and escutcheon with initials: “W. H. P.” Carved wood sheath with fringed edge, three antebellum American silver coins attached with strings is later addition but fits well. CONDITION: good to very good overall, blade is gray and worn with staining and light pitting, small nicks in cutting edge. PROVENANCE: From the Lifelong Collection of Glen E. Mattox.
