SWORD. 24” overall, 18.5” unmarked blade with distinct thin shallow 8” central fuller. Brass hilt has ribbed handle, undecorated bulbous pommel & cross guard. There is at least one marked example which could have been a sample for government inspection. This is about as nice as this pattern can be found. CONDITION: “as found”, uncleaned, gray blade showing finishing marks, smooth light chocolate brown patina to brass. (02-19076/JS). $2,500-3,000.
