^Lot 1296 WWII GERMAN PANZERGRENADIER OFFICER’S VISOR CAP.

This fine cap has a sage green crown and dark green band. The entire hat is piped in lime green with a black finished visor. Aluminum wreath, cockade & eagle. Silver bullion chin strap terminated by pebble finished buttons. The interior has a tan sweatband & orange rayon lining. The sweatband is mounted with the aluminum letters “E” & “F” and the lining has a rounded diamond shaped sweat shield. CONDITION: hat shows no overt moth damage. Visor is a bit worn. Lining has numerous sweat stains. PROVENANCE: From the Lifelong Collection of Glen E. Mattox. (02-18236/BF). $700-900.
