^Lot 1263 E & F HORSTER WWII GERMAN NAVAL DAGGER.

This dagger measures 15 1/4" overall. It has an etched blade featuring nautical & foliate motifs. The blade is marked “E. & F. HORSTER SOLINGEN (logo)”. Gilded brass cross guard & eagle pommel. Gilded brass wire wrapped white grip. Gilded brass scabbard with lightning bolt motif. CONDITION: blade shows substantial original factory polish. Gold plating on hilt is nearly 100%. Grip is undamaged. Scabbard has more than 50% of the original gilding intact. Truly a fine example of a scarcer dagger. (02-17933/BF). $800-1,100.
