Cal. 30-40. S# 353770. Bbl. 22". Unmarked rifle blade front sight & Model 1896 rifle rear sight. Proper high hump carbine handguard & 1901 cartouched carbine stock. CONDITION: metal is a dull fading blue, mostly gray patina. Stock retains a strong & very clear cartouche & circle P proof, but does have an added coat of finish, w/ scratches, dings, dents, chips & gouges. Bore is strongly rifled, but dark w/ pitting in the grooves. PROVENANCE: From the Lifelong Collection of Glen E. Mattox. (23-750/CW). CURIO. $700-900.
