^Lot 1381 5th MODEL BURNSIDE CIVIL WAR CARBINE

SERIAL 38299. BARREL 22".CALIBER 54. Made 1863-65. Standard round barrel, single band, two leaf rear sight, rear sling swivel, walnut stock. Condition. Case color frame is soft patina while barrel is a rich brown. Matching numbers. Stock is very good with W carved into wrist. Bore is sharp with minor residue. Action works fine. BURNSIDE legend on frame mostly visible. Very seldom do you find a war used 5th model that survived fairly well. ANTIQUE
