^Lot 888 US HARPERS FERRY MODEL 1842 PERCUSSION MUSKET

BARREL 31.5". CALIBER 69. Lock stamped "HARPERS FERRY 1845", with US and eagle. Left side of barrel at breech has VP proof with inspector stamp. Tang is dated "184?". Features 2-bands, no barrel rear sight, full length walnut stock, metal ramrod and sling eyes. Condition. Wood and barrel have been period shortened. Metal was finished in the white and is now dark patina. Most legends are strong. Wood has a few age stress cracks in butt. Overall good. ANTIQUE
