SERIAL 38785. BARREL 22". CALIBER 56-56. Standard Civil War era carbine with round barrel, ladder rear sight, sling bar & ring, walnut stocks, loader in butt plate, single band, rear sling swivel on butt stock. Spencer address on top of frame. Condition. Homogenous dark brown patina on barrel. Frame colors have darkened. Stocks are solid with usual war dings. Rifling is strong but there is black powder residue and could use a good polishing. ANTIQUE
