Lot 549 FRENCH ENGRAVED LEFACHAUEX 11MM PINFIRE REVOLVER

SERIAL NUMBER 81542 BARREL 5 1/2" CALIBER 11 MM PINFIRE MANUFACTURED CIRCA 1860-70. Produced with a lustrous bright blue finish with geometric designs and silver high points. A brass single line border surrounds both sides of the frame. The barrel is solid ribbed with matching intertwined borders. 6 shot non fluted cylinder in embellished in same fashion with geometric designs and silver high points, operating single and double action. Produced during the US Civil War period with many of these pattern guns imported into the Southern states. 2 piece smooth ebony grips with steel butt cap and lanyard. CONDITION, Very good with over 75% blue finish remaining. The bore and chambers are very fine. The action operates both single and double action. The grips are very good , full sized and without distress. An extremely attractive early pinfire belt revolver. ANTIQUE
