SERIAL NUMBER N/A BARREL 8 1/2" CALIBER 54 SMOOTHBORE MANUFACTURED 1840. Produced by Robert Johnson of Middletown CN, in 1842. The last issued flintlock pistol manufactured for US military issue. Lock marked "US" R.JOHNSON MIDDN CONN 1840" Iron furniture with swivel pattern rammer. Breech marked "US over NWP over "P" . One piece walnut stock has two Cartouches on left side. CONDITION. Good with a mottled patina finish on all iron. Lock operates properly. Bore is dark. Stock is worn with small stress crack at rear lock screw and small chip to rear of lock ANTIQUE
