SERIAL NUMBER 42401 BARREL 20" CALIBER 38-55 WCF MANUFACTURED 1898. 20" round barrel with post and blade front sight and ladder adjustable carbine rear sight. Oil finished straight grain American walnut stocks with steel carbine butt plate. 2 line Winchester New Haven barrel address. Chamber marked 38-55 . CONDITION. Good with barrel and magazine retaining 20% blue finish with balance turning plum and silver. Receiver has lost all its finish with use and age. The bore is worn with visible rifling.
