SERIAL NUMBER: 49806. BARREL: 26". CALIBER: .38-40 WCF. MANUFACTURED: 1890. Standard company address and patent dates on the top of the barrel. Full octagon barrel with blade front sight and semi buckhorn rear. 3/4 length tube. Period re-applied blued finish. Butt stock is a period replacement, with a varnished type finish. Smooth metal butt plate. CONDITION: Metal is good overall, with areas of finish wear and gray patina forming throughout. Wood has minor handling marks, scrapes and scratches. There are some surface cracks on the left surface of the butt stock. Bore has a clean surface, with a small bit of frosting near the muzzle. Strong rifling retained. Mechanically fine. ANTIQUE
