^Lot 128 PRE-WAR COLT ACE .22 PISTOL WITH BOX

SERIAL NUMBER 3098 BARREL 5" CALIBER .22 LONG RIFLE MANUFACTURED 1931. Introduced by Colt in caliber .22 to emulate the practical feel and use of the Government Model 1911 pistol chambered for .45 acp. Blue finished with checkered walnut grips. 10 round magazine. Checkered trigger, checkered arched mainspring housing. Medium wide checkered commercial hammer. Right side of slide marked "COLT ACE 22 LONG RIFLE". Left side of slide has traditional 2 line Commercial Colt address with Rampant Colt at rear of slide. 2 tone Colt ACE SERVICE MODEL marked magazine. Box has full label but is missing top. Serial numbered to another pistol on bottom .CONDITION. Very fine retaining 98% of the reapplied blue finish. All markings are crisp and legible. Fine sharp checkered grips. Bore is brilliant bright.
