Made by BRANDON & POTTS LONDON with 9 inch smooth bore barrel, One piece walnut stock with brass butt cap, trigger guard and forend cap. Wood wiping rod with brass tip. British proved on breech with same inspection below flash pan on lock. These private purchase pistol have been identified as War of 1812 and Napoleonic war used, CONDITION, Very good with a pleasant uncleaned mellow patina. All marking are crisp and legible. Stock is very good with some minor distress bruising and impressions from the period of use. Bore is good and lock operates properly. Rod appear to be a replacement as is common. ANTIQUE
